Onboard the iconic British Pullman train. Discover the culinary skills of Angela Harnett OBE – one of the country’s most celebrated Michelin- starred chefs paired with a bottle of Dom Pérignon 2013.
On 29 September 2023, board the timeless carriages of the British Pullman at London Victoria Station for a journey back to the Art Deco era. In our train, each carriage has a unique story to tell, including the recently reimagined Cygnus, a Wes Anderson signature.
For this special culinary journey, your host is Angela Hartnett OBE, Chef-Patron of Michelin-starred Murano, in Mayfair. Her passion for food was inspired by her Italian mother and grandmother and she favours modern Italian dishes blending the best of British and European produce. Angela began her restaurant career as a waiter at Midsummer House in Cambridge, where she “blagged” a role in the kitchen and never looked back. After spending 17 years working for Gordon Ramsay and joining Marcus Wareing at Petrus, she ran her own restaurant at The Connaught for five years, achieving her first Michelin star.
A year after being awarded an MBE for services to the hospitality industry, she opened Murano, which gained a Michelin star four months after opening. Further successes have included Merchants Tavern in Shoreditch and three Café Muranos, the publication of two cookery books and a regular appearance on the BBC’s Great British Menu. During the COVID-19 crisis, Angela set up the charity Cook-19, delivering meals to NHS workers. She was awarded an OBE in 2021.
