After your Whisky Experience Tour, you will have free time to discover at your own pace one of the most memorable and unique cities in Europe: Edinburgh. Fondly known as Auld Reekie, which means ‘Old Smokey’ in Scots, the Scottish capital is one of Europe’s most memorable and unique cities.
Take a glimpse of Edinburgh Castle, a 1,100-year-old fortress built on Castle Rock, a long-extinct volcano. Visit the Old Town, the medieval heart of Edinburgh filled with centuries-old buildings. Explore the traditional pubs, charming stores and casual eateries that line the ‘Royal Mile’, a historic street cutting through the heart of the city, and visit St Giles’ Cathedral, the 900-year-old religious focal point of the city.

Begin your Scottish adventure at London King’s Cross Station. Board your train and get ready for departure. Enjoy fantastic views of the British countryside on your way up to Scotland, including stunning panoramic vistas and a dramatic coastline.
Upon arrival in Edinburgh, make your way to the iconic Royal Mile, where you’ll find Edinburgh Castle sitting proudly above Castle Rock, a volcanic plug in the middle of the city. The Scotch Whisky Experience is right there next to the castle.

• This is not your train ticket. Your electronic train tickets and detailed tour information will be sent to you one week before your scheduled departure date via email (or within 24 hours if booked within one week).
• Train travel is with LNER
• Please note that this is an unescorted tour (expect for The Scotch Whisky Experience which is live guided)
• Outbound: Train departs London Kings Cross at 7 am – arrives at Edinburgh Waverley at 11:20 am
• Return: Train departs Edinburgh Waverley at 5:30 pm and arrives back at London Kings Cross at 10:09 pm.
• Train times are subject to change due to operational requirements.
• Please note that this tour is strictly for those aged 18 years and over. The Scotch Whisky Experience operates a Challenge 25 policy. If you look younger than 25, please bring photo ID to prove you’re over 18, otherwise, you’ll have to settle for a soft drink!
